I recently came across this video from the PA Game Commission talking about the recent increase in Sandhill Cranes in Pennsylvania. It’s an interesting watch. I have seen Sandhill Cranes in the state before but they are generally young birds that show up at Middle Creek WMA in Lancaster/Lebanon counties over the fall and winter. There has been evidence of Sandhill Cranes breeding in the northwestern corner of the state for a while now, but nests have been hard to find.
