Gabriel is a Senior Guide specializing in the Caribbean Islands. He is an avid birder and photographer based in Puerto Rico! Gabriel's has two photo nemesis birds - Bay-breasted Cuckoo and Chestnut-bellied Cuckoo! He is always trying for better photos of those two skulky birds!

Gabriel Lugo is a certified Puerto Rico guide. His passion for birding was sparked by an invitation to join an Audubon Christmas Bird Count many years ago. His curiosity became his passion, and Gabriel was soon making major bird sightings throughout Puerto Rico and earning himself a strong reputation with the birding community.

Gabriel has since become one of the top birding guides in Puerto Rico. His contributions to Puerto Rico birding led him to be elected as President of the Puerto Rico Ornithological Society. Gabriel’s eyes and ears have proven him an excellent birder and his contagious enthusiasm helps make him an excellent leader!
