I had to drive over near Philadelphia today, so I finally had an excuse to make the drive to see the Say’s Phoebe that has been reported every day since December 15th. This beautiful bird was first discovered by Richard Smith at the Maple Knoll Dairy Farm. The bird spends most of its time across the street from Richard Smith, at the Crooke’s Dairy Farm. This morning, my friends and I were able to watch the bird as it foraged alongside Eastern Bluebirds near the large mulch pile and around a field of corn stubble. We were not able to get very close to the bird, but had wonderful looks through our spotting scopes. Below are a few photos I took of the bird and here is a link to our full checklist.
