Senior Guide & Tour Manager
NORTH AMERICA

Alex Lamoreaux has been an avid birder and naturalist his entire life. He grew up exploring the Appalachian ridge-and-valley region near Hershey, Pennsylvania where the ubiquitous Red-tailed Hawk was his spark bird and continues to be his favorite bird species today! He began volunteering at Northern Saw-whet Owls banding stations and at Hawk Mountain Sanctuary before he could even drive!

Alex has traveled extensively throughout North America and around the World in pursuit of birds and other wildlife adventures! For over 15 years, Alex was a nomadic biologist working in multiple countries and in dozens of US states. He has worked on a variety of research projects from shorebird ecology in Arctic National Wildlife Refuge to documenting the migration of Hook-billed Kites in Belize.

Alex's love for nature shines through in his ever-enthusiastic approach to guiding, and he strives to bring the birding community together to enjoy, conserve, and protect wildlife. For over 10 years he has been a full time birding guide and continues to participate in bird research. Alex is the owner of NemesisBird Tours and a Senior Guide specializing in our North American destinations! Alex's nemesis bird is the Slaty-backed Gull!
