Yesterday, I spent the day birding southern New Jersey with Matt Boone, Abby Walter, and Jaimie McLaren. We missed an exceptional alcid flight at the Avalon Sea Watch, but obtained good looks at Dunlin, Purple Sandpipers, and Ruddy Turnstones at the end of the 8th Street Jetty. This Purple Sandpiper was extremely cooperative, making it a great digiscoping subject.
