Sparrows by the Seaside

Prime Hook National Wildlife Refuge is my ‘new’ local patch, at least now that I am living in Delaware for the fall. The refuge is only a few miles from my house, and fellow Nemesis Birder Tim Shreckengost and I have been visiting as often as possible. This refuge is a hotspot for viewing Seaside Sparrows, and this past week there have been fledglings all over the place. Fowler Beach Road in particular has had some very cooperative birds, including one evening where I saw at least 30 of these salty, spider-loving sparrows!
