On Tuesday night when Anna and I were leaving the Golden Eagle Audubon meeting at the MK Nature Center we heard, along with some other birds around us, the classic call of a Western Screech-Owl very close in the top of a spruce tree. After a little searching around, I was able to spot the little owl tucked in behind some branches. Below is a photo I was able to take, unfortunately I couldnt get any angle other than one with a branch right in front of the bird’s face.
